19 Reasons To Go To Huskies Forever Weekend

Why you should come home to Storrs this October.

Because there's nothing like Storrs in October.

When you drive to campus and you see the UConn sign greeting you.

And Horsebarn Hill, Wilbur Cross, and Gampel welcoming you back like old friends.

Speaking of old friends, this is a great time to get the band back together.

To run around campus and see how Storrs has changed. (Not to mention many opportunities to say, "They have THAT now??")

    To reminisce about old times...

    And create new memories.

To experience all the feels listening to the UConn Marching Band play the fight song.

Because you can head back to the classroom to learn from actual professors about this year's election—and can then have a polite, well-reasoned political discussion with your crazy uncle at Thanksgiving.

And then show everyone you’re secretly a painting prodigy—a skill no doubt enhanced with an adult beverage or three.

Because the tailgating scene at the Rent is like none other…

Because a packed house for the homecoming football game is electric (you get chills just thinking about it)…

And because Coach Diaco has the piercing blue eyes of an ice dragon.

Not to mention there's a good chance you'll see this handsome fella.

Because sometimes you want to just go back to that cozy, warm feeling you had as a student at UConn, when all you cared about was making it to the next class, recovering from that last party—and choosing the perfect day to sled down Horsebarn Hill.

When your tough decisions had to do with what you majored in, what to do with that weird roommate, and which flavor of Dairy Bar ice cream to pick.

When you were sure to see someone you knew on your way to class—but knew that you could make a whole group of new friends in a month.

    And now, as a full-fledged college graduate…

You know that no matter where you live, no matter how long it’s been since you were a student, you can always come back home to UConn.
