Sour Brite Crawlers Cupcakes 4 Ways

PREPARATION
Apple Cupcake
Ingredients
1 box vanilla cake mix
1 (16-ounce) container vanilla frosting Red food coloring
1 bunch fresh mint leaves (small, stem on) Thin pretzels
Red sprinkles
1 bag Trolli Sour Brite Crawlers
Preparation
1. Bake cupcakes according to package instructions.
2. While cupcakes are baking, add a few drops of red food coloring to the vanilla
frosting and stir to combine.
3. Once cooled, frost cupcakes with red frosting. Before the frosting hardens, top
with red sprinkles.
4. Poke out a small hole (1⁄2 cm) in each cupcake and place a Trolli Sour Brite
Crawler in the hole.
5. Top each cupcake with a pretzel stick and mint leaves to resemble the stem and
leaves of an apple.
Dirt Cupcake
Ingredients
1 box chocolate cake mix
1 (16-ounce) container chocolate frosting
1 cup chocolate cookie crumble topping (pulse 11⁄2 cups chocolate sandwich cookies, fillings removed, in food processor)
1 bag Trolli Sour Brite Crawlers
Preparation
1. Bake cupcakes according to package instructions.
2. While cupcakes are baking, pulse chocolate cookies in a food processor and sift
into a bowl. Discard larger crumbles.
3. Once cupcakes are cool, frost cupcakes with chocolate frosting.
4. Before frosting hardens, gently dip the frosted cupcake tops into the bowl of crushed cookie crumbles so that all of the frosting is covered with “dirt.”
5. Poke out a small hole (1⁄2 cm) in each cupcake and place a Trolli Sour Brite Crawler in each hole.
Butterfly Cupcake
Ingredients
1 box vanilla cake mix
1 cup vanilla frosting
Blue food coloring
1 bag Trolli Sour Brite Crawlers 2 cups small pretzels
1 package licorice rope
Preparation
1. Bake cupcakes according to package instructions.
2. In a small bowl, add a few drops of blue food coloring and stir to combine.
3. Once completely cooled, frost cupcakes with blue frosting.
4. Before frosting hardens, place one Trolli Sour Brite Crawler down the center of
the cupcake. This will be the body. Insert a pretzel on each side of the gummy
candy to serve as wings.
5. Cut two small pieces of licorice rope and place next to the round candy to look
like antennae.
Flower Pot Cupcakes
Ingredients
1 box chocolate cake mix
1 (16-ounce) container chocolate frosting
Small artificial flowers, trimmed to about 3” high 3” terra cotta pots
1 bag Trolli Very Berry Sour Brite Crawlers
Preparation
1. Thoroughly wash the terracotta pots.
2. Bake cupcakes in terracotta pots by placing one cupcake liner upside down at
the bottom of each pot to support the height of the cupcake. Place one cupcake
liner right side up, then fill about 3⁄4 way to the top. Back 5 minutes longer than
package directions.
3. Once cooled, frost cupcakes with chocolate frosting.
4. Before frosting hardens, poke out a small hole (1⁄2 cm) in each cupcake, and
place a Trolli Sour Brite Crawlers in each hole.
5. Place one flower on each cupcake, so the flower stands and looks like it’s
growing out of the pot.
