These Early 2000s Commercials Have Been Living In My Head Rent Free — Let's Find Out If It's The Same For You

Do you remember watching the Magic Bullet advert for 30 minutes?

Hi! We're Isabella and Tori. Isabella is from the BuzzFeed Canada office, while Tori is based out of the New York office.

And despite growing up in different countries, we recently discovered just how many infomercials from the 2000s we not only both knew, but had ~memorized~.

So let's take a trip back in time to when everything was $19.95 (+ shipping and handling) and see how many of these ads from the '00s you recall!

1. The Betty Crocker Bake n' Fill

Tori: Okay, this one came on when I was around 5 or 6 years old and I wanted it so badly! I had this daydream every time it came on that my nana and I would bake a bunch of cakes and have parties. Sadly, never came true.

Isabella: That is very cute. My mom was kinda crunchy growing up, so this was also nothing but a daydream. What was she supposed to fill it with? GRANOLA? It was never gonna happen for me.

2. The Ultimate Love Songs Collection

Tori: This came on basically every. single. night. I would fall asleep with the TV on sort of habitually and always around 2:00 a.m. I was awoken by Celine Dion.

Isabella: Wow. Tell me why I'm 2 seconds away from calling the number to order these right now. Same with me Tori— Celine belting "CAUSE I'M YOUR LADYYYYYY" used to be my sleep paralysis demon.

3. The Ultimate Chocolate Factory

Tori: I was today-years-old when I realized that this gimmick is just two pots stacked on top of each other... I still wanted this real bad though.

Isabella: I don't remember this one, but I feel like that's for the best? I would have definitely snuck a credit card out of my mom's wallet for this.

4. Blopens

Isabella: Being a Blopen girl WAS a main tenant of my personality for an entire summer back in the day. I definitely have ink still hidden in the crevasses of my lungs. 10/10 would blow again.

Tori: To the child that sucked inward instead of blowing outward and got sick... you ruined my life. I never got to have this because of you — I've forgiven but I won't forget.

5. Rainbow Art

Isabella: See, I'm not sure if I know this from TV or just because it's been circulated so heavy on the internet. That being said... dip, dab, draw is a tagline that I'd support until the day I die.

Tori: Dib, dab, draw has been leasing a corner of my brain space since I first saw this one as a kid.

6. The Big Top Cupcake

Isabella: Maybe fellow Canadians in the chat can back me up on this one, but I don't think this monstrosity hit our TV waves. Either way, my eyes were GLUED to the screen right now watching this, like a baby sensory video.

Tori: Oh, this one may 100% be representative solely of the American consciousness in the early 2000s. It was a shorter lived commercial than the others, but I do remember it and have seen them irl.

7. Magic Bullet

Tori: I was convinced that anyone who bought this back in the day was part of a cult. Like the commercial was everywhere and never-ending, and the blender just showed up all over the place one day??

Isabella: THIS WAS MY FAVOURITE SHOW GROWING UP. Yes, SHOW! If I was flicking through the channels and spotted this, you KNOW I was tuning in. I recently watched this ahem, *not* sober and I was liiiiiiiving. A 30 minute infomercial with amazing recipes and a hilarious cast of characters? Please! Where was the Emmy?

8. OrGreenic Green Nonstick Frying Pan

Isabella: This did not interest me as a child because what exactly was I cooking? But as an almost-30-year-old... this is not a want. It's a NEED.

Tori: As a child, I didn't cook, obviously — but I was CONVINCED that this pan would make life easier for every adult I knew, and I had to let them all know about it!

9. Pajama Jeans

Tori: These definitely walked, so jeggings could strut.

Isabella: Not these being described as "sexy, stylish bootcut". Sorry, but these still kinda serve!

10. Marvin's Magic Drawing Board

Isabella: I never had this but I did have the bonus erasable/ colour changing markers that came with it. I did some of my finest artwork with them.

Tori: I'm so jealous, I could've been such an artist but my mom never wanted to pay the shipping prices!

11. Floam

Isabella: Floam WALKED so the slime community today could RUN. The #Satisfyingvideo industry would be NOTHING without the contributions of Floam, know THAT.

Tori: It's the way I know that Floam was probably terrible for the environment and the texture gives me the heebies but IT'S SO COOL!

12. Magic Twist

Tori: Hahaha, my curly hair is screaming from just looking at this commercial.

Isabella: This was for the cool girls only. And I was not a cool girl!

13. Zoobooks

Isabella: When Tori told me about Zoobooks, her eyes lit up in a way that I can only describe as "kid on Christmas morning". I've never personally been tapped into Zoobooks culture but am ultimately happy that Tori got her life from them.

Tori: What I would give to be able to have these!! Zoobooks were the moment! They were the blueprint!! NatGeo who?

14. Bumpits

Isabella: You're going home with someone... they run their fingers your hair... they hit your Bumpits. WYD?

Tori: Asking them why they have a 2003 fossil in their hair! I think I remember this commercial the best out of all of them and again, my curls are screaming at the thought.
