    There is no greater truth than this: Whenever you go on vacation with friends, everyone will — without a doubt — mix up or lose their phone chargers. Stop the madness and put washi tape on yours so there's no confusion.

    2. Use a makeup or toiletry organizer to carry your essentials to the beach or pool.

    You can put in a book, sunscreen, lip balm, and any other items you want to keep handy (and dry), instead of rummaging around for all of them at the bottom of your tote.

    3. Add contact paper and wire to a picture frame to create your own sunglasses rack.

    Take a frame and remove the glass covering and the cardboard backing. Wrap the front side of the backing with contact paper. Then, flip it over, and glue on the ends of a wire or string so that it's taut (and visible) across the front. Put the backing on the frame again and voilà: You can hang pairs of sunglasses on it!     Toys, balls, and chalk often end up scattered all over the lawn or tossed aside in the garage during summer. Labeling some buckets will help keep them in order, and help your kids clean up easily too.

    7. Repurpose a shower caddy to store all that junk inside your literal trunk.
