Response to 16 Truly Terrible Beatles Covers:
I think you’re gonna be sad that you forgot one of the worst: The Carpenters’ quaalude-soaked “Ticket To Ride”!
Response to New York City’s Tabloids Take On The NRA:
Telling the truth about guns in the Post is easy. Rupert’s kissing up to New York’s mayor, and New York’s mostly pro-gun-control readers. If Rupert was really willing to put his money where his mouth is, the Faux News Channel would stop parroting the NRA’s conspiracy theories/gun marketing material about Obama coming to take everyone’s penis substitutes. But Roger Ailes clearly has Rupert by the short hairs, and is in full control of the only profitable part of Rupert’s empire. Rupert doesn’t dare stop lying to Faux News’ gullible, suicidal viewers; they guzzle down the poisoned kool-aid with gusto, and would abandon the channel if it cut off their supply.
Typical GOP. Got no ideas of their own, so they plagiarize a letter full of vagaries from Erskine Bowles and pretend it’s a plan. No specifics about how they will do any of the things Bowles suggested, of course, as reported in the Washington Post: “The offer makes no mention of how to handle the looming battle over the federal debt limit, nor does it offer suggestions for how the deficit-cutting framework would be put into place.” A plan without any specifics in how to achieve it is called a “wish”. What a joke!
