The best time to head over to Portobello Road Market is on a Saturday, but be sure to get there early, as it can get really busy. It's a great place to grab some designer bargains and vintage clothes. The best vintage stalls are under the Westway flyover. If you want to avoid the crowd, head over to the market on a Friday; although there are less stalls, you will still find some beautiful clothes.

Head over to Spitalfields on a Saturday morning for the Spitalfields Saturday Style Market. You can expect to find unique clothing, accessories and ethically made goods from over 60, mainly London-based, designers. Plus every so often you can catch live music and performances.
When: Saturday’s market takes place from 11am to 5pm.

Popular with creative types and hipster types, Brick Lane Market has plenty of clothing stalls, selling second-hand stock, vintage collections and clothes from young designers. The clothes are not the cheapest, but you can still find a few bargains. Also, if you are after some homeware, you will find it here too. The market can get pretty busy but the good vibes are worth it.

This is the market to go if you are looking for cheap clothes. You get plenty of stalls that offer fashion led clothes that are lots cheaper than the high street. And if you are looking for something more original, Petticoat Lane has plenty of shops that sell lovely bright African prints.

Broadway Market hasn't got many clothes stalls, but what it does have is definitely worth a look. You'll find vintage and second-hand clothes, and if you get bored at the market you can pop over to the Burberry outlet store which is a short walk away.

Camden continues to be be one of London’s most famous markets. The market is open throughout the week, but expect crowds over the weekend. You can find alternative and vintage clothing, jewellery and clothes for when you are going out out.

Set on church grounds, Cabbages & Frocks Market has a great mix of fashion and food stalls. The market was created by the organisers London Fashion Designer Sales, so you can expect to find some great designer finds.

Another market that's great for when you're looking for a bargain. Many of the clothes here are what you will find on the high street, but cheaper. It's in the heart of East London, so it can get very busy. It also has brilliant plus-size stalls that are open Tuesday and Saturdays.

Chapel Market is in the heart of Angel Town Centre, and as well as the market stalls, where you can get cheap clothes from, there are lots of cute small boutiques around. You will find mens, women's, and kids wear, and if you fancy a bite to eat after shopping, you have plenty of food options too.
When: Tuesdays and Saturdays 9am to 6pm and Sundays 8:30am to 4pm.

Chatsworth Road Market is very much a local market, with over 50% of its traders living in the local area. The market has 40 stalls a week offering up vintage children’s wear and ethically made clothing.

Although known for being a vintage interiors market, you can find great clothes and jewellery stalls here. The clothes on offer are mostly vintage, so if you're into that sort of thing, this is the place for you.

With around 30 stalls, Netil market is one of the smaller markets in London. It’s the brainchild of the local creative community, and you'll find cute vintage clothe stalls and jewellers.

A great place for leather bags and antique jewellery. And if it doesn't answer your fashion needs, Greenwich Market is known for its vibrant atmosphere, and colourful arts and crafts.

Set in the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane, Sunday Up Market is great for a fashion find or four. This market is great for jewellery, vintage clothes, handbags and accessories. It's a nice quiet market, that doesn't get too busy, yet.

Known for its AMAZING street food, Leather Lane market also houses some pretty good fashion stalls. You'll find a bit of everything on at this market. From cheap clothes, to shoes, to stalls dedicated to hats and sunglasses.
When: Weekdays 10am to around 3pm

Technically not in London, but close enough. Dagenham market is in Barking on the East End of the district line, and it's definitely worth the trip. You'll find a few dodgy stalls out of the 600 stalls on offer, but most of them are really good. There's a great plus size stall selling sizes 16 to 32.
