In regard to the "taco" reference: Taco is a generic name for what is considered the local food staple of a region, consumed more frequently by the lower classes. These types of foods are usually bland and unimpressive, but filling and hearty.
My favorite exchange of his was with Vincent Gallo, who called him fat after Ebert eviscerated "The Brown Bunny". "It is true that I am fat, but one day I will be thin, and he will still be the director of The Brown Bunny."
