19 Kids And No Gun Safety?

The Duggar family, known for having blah blah amounts of children, has been in the news in recent months. Josh Duggar works for the FRC and has been politically active, supporting politicians who would seek to end reproductive and LGBT rights. Michelle Duggar made transphobic robocalls in a successful effort to rollback LGBT rights in her area. A couple of weeks ago, son in-law Derick Dillard aimed for a cat while sledding down a hill on a cookie sheet. He appears to have hit the cat, but no official statement was ever made and we don't know if the cat is okay. Now the Duggars have posted pics of a very recent vacation on Facebook, and have shown themselves to be careless with gun safety.

Now the BB rifle is left completely unattended, with no adults nearby. It's within steps of the youngest child, Josie Duggar. Josie is the child who was born prematurely at 25 weeks. She fought long and hard to survive.

Some of you may say it's just a BB gun, who cares? But all it takes is a second for tragedy to strike. She could've injured herself or someone else. And although it's pretty rare, people can die from BB gun accidents. It makes you wonder if the Duggars are this careless with more dangerous types of rifles and guns. The older Duggar children and adults in this situation should have known better and should always be in the habit of handling all weapons responsibly.
