    A unique experience, and probably your first time experiencing life outside an Asian household. Never a dull moment.

    1. Parent teacher interviews were always interesting

    2. But it was always terrifying if you were sitting on a B for maths, science, english

    3. Lunches were more like this:

    4. Your name was probably mispronounced on more than one occasion

    5. You always had awesome things to bring to show-and-tell

    6. Career days could be awkward

    7. University was the only way to go after high school, and your parents would probably balk at the thought of a 'gap year'

    8. Your parents probably paid for you to go to Saturday school or undergo extra tutoring to get ahead of your class

    9. Piano lessons were most likely mandatory

    10. You had to walk your parents through complicated forms and permission slips

    11. Your english is stellar, though your native tongue is basically a train to #struggletown

    12. Your Asian parents would swap stories with other Asian parents about you and your friends

    13. Dating was a huge no during high school
