1. Jacob in "Twilight" He comforts Bella when her mean vampire boyfriend breaks up with her, he saves her life when she tries to kill herself, he keeps her from getting hypothermia, and what does he get? Friend Zone Status. 2. Nick in "New Girl" Nick and Jess have a very close, brother-sister type relationship, but the attraction is definitely there on Nick's side. Hopefully he can escape the Friend Zone before Jess decides he really is her brother and buys them matching pj's. 3. Crazy Eyes in “Orange Is The New Black” She’s written poems for Piper and even threw her pie on the ground for her. If that’s not being friend-zoned, we don’t know what is. 4. Ted in “How I Met Your Mother” There was a time when Ted was stuck in Robin’s Friend Zone. Now they have each moved on to other relationships, so technically, Ted escaped, but we all know his feelings for her remain. Whatever the case, Ted Mosby is the perpetual “nice guy” watching from the sidelines as lady’s man/ misogynist Barney Stinson steals his girl. 5. Finn in “Adventure Time” To quote the show’s Facebook status: “Finn likes Bubblegum, and Bubblegum likes Finn, too…just not THAT way.” 6. Ron Weasley in “Harry Potter” Mr. Weasley loves Miss Granger. Sure, he eventually escaped, but how many movies did we have to sit through before he got out? 7. Gale in “The Hunger Games” Katniss sure has a good friend in Gale, who volunteers to take care of her sister and then has to watch her make out with another guy on national TV. Friend Zone level: 99. 8. Annie in “Community” Annie is the girl every fan guy drools over, but for some reason, she isn’t able to steal the heart of her crush, Jeff Winger. Until she does, she’ll just have to fantasize about him from across the study room table. 9. Fry in “Futurama” Fry is putting his blood, sweat, and tears into trying to impress the Leela. But even with her one eye, she’s got him in her Friend Zone. 10. Leonard and Penny in “Big Bang Theory” Leonard started out in Penny’s Friend Zone, but he didn’t stay there for long because of a three-month long absence to the North Pole. Nothing gets a guy out of the Friend Zone like a scientific expedition!
