15 Tips For Dealing With A Booklover

Booklovers are a particular type of people. They may seem complicated if you don't understand the way they think, so here are a few tips to help you deal with the booklover in your life.

    1) Never interrupt a booklover when they're reading.

    2) Don't dog-ear the pages of their books.

    3) By no means should you ever comment on the fictitiousness of the characters in their books.

    4) If for some reason you have already read the book the booklover is reading, never ever give away anything about it.

    5) If you borrow a book from the booklover, always give it back to them in just as pristine condition as you'd first received it.

    6) If you lose one of their books, you'll never get away with it.

    7) Never lend out a book that a booklover had originally lent you.

    8) Do not mark or draw on any part of any book the booklover lends you.

    9) Booklovers tend to be emotional over characters and their deaths.

    10) When a booklover offers their book for you to read, do not tell them you've seen the movie and act like it's the same thing.

    11) Don't ask a booklover what their favorite book is.

    12) If the booklover tells you they're tired from staying up late reading, do not tell them they should have "just stopped reading."

    13) If you want to buy the booklover a gift and you're on a tight budget, buy them a (or several) bookmark(s).

    14) If you want to buy the booklover the perfect gift, buy them a gift card to their favorite bookstore.

    15) If you accompany them to spend that gift card, don't feel bad if you're completely ignored.

Hopefully now, you will feel a little more armed with knowledge in dealing with a booklover. Good luck!
