This urban legend is a lot less sweet than you think. Plus, Jordan Peele is putting his own spin on this classic horror movie in the near future, and you'll want to have seen the original.

"Candyman" (1992)

I mean, isn't that why we all watch horror movies? To scream? This horror movie sparked audience's love for modern horror in the mid '90s, and we're certainly glad it did! Oh, and there's three more movies in the franchise and TV show (although – if we're being honest – we can't vouch for the TV show's quality as much as the sequels).

"Scream" (1996)

Paris Hilton in a horror movie. Need we say more? No, but we will. "House of Wax" has some pretty ghastly scenes that will certainly stick with you. We don't want to spoil anything so let's just say that this movie will make you grateful for your fingertips.

"House of Wax" (2005)

Don't watch the new one. Or do, whatever. We don't care. But at least make sure you watch the old version because it's honestly so much better IMO. Don't let the cuddly kitty fool you. This movie is so scary, it'll feel like you've been hit by a truck!

"Pet Sematary" (1989)

"One, two – Freddy's coming for you." Honestly, these movies can be cheesy at times, but that's part of their charm. They're ultimately so entertaining, and you'll definitely think twice about falling asleep for a night or two.

"A Nightmare on Elm Street" (1984)

This movie is soooo good, and we can't recommend it enough. We don't want to give too much away, but the main character (Kate Siegel) plays Theo in "The Haunting of Hill House," so if you liked her in that, you'll adore her in this.

"Hush" (2016)
