What is mindful eating?
Mindful eating is basically eating with both intention and attention — paying attention to your food and focusing on your meal or snack as the thing you're doing right now. Developing your mindful eating skills can give you a better relationship with food, lower your stress levels, and leave you feeling great!
Here are some tried-and-true ways to start becoming a more mindful eater.
1. Focus on your food.

2. Engage all of your senses.

3. Portion your food.

4. Eat more slowly.

5. Savor small bites.

6. Snack happily.

7. Listen to your body.

8. Don't skip meals.

Seriously! An extra half hour in bed feels great, but not having breakfast will leave you sluggish until noon. Skipping meals can make you more stressed and less energetic. Try to make time to eat every meal, or at least time to eat a great snack that will tide you over until you have time to eat your next meal.
9. Make food you really love.
