Discover What Are The Best Foods To Stay Focus On Your Diet

We know that sometimes we just have to go to parties, is inevitable! It's a social interaction, and let's agree that, going to that barbecue, or to that new restaurant, and even drink beer on the weekend it’s very good! And now the question that remains, how to stay focus on the diet? How can I recover from a night drinking more than usual? Keep calm and listen to your Nutritionist!

Before the party

Do not go out on an empty stomach, it will potentiate the effect of alcohol on your body and also give you an urge to eat unhealthy food on the street. It’s important to eat a low glycemic index meal (with whole grains and whole foods) before going out, this type of meal has nutrients that will help your body process the toxins that will be ingested. Opt for an omelet with green leaves, vegetables and some spices like, oregano, turmeric, onion, parsley, chives, whatever else you have at home. You can also eat some steak with potatoes to give you energy for the night, don’t forget the salad! Remember to drink a lot of water and you're good to go!

At the party

First topic: Food!

What about that holiday, or that birthday party, or even that barbecue at your friend's house, what should you do? First tip: Never overdo it! Is pretty obvious, isn't it? But it's totally true! Try to stick to the amounts of food you usually eat on a day-to-day basis, for example:

On Barbecues: Make a dish as if you were having lunch/dinner at home, put everything you want in the same proportion of the weekday and eat only that dish. Avoid especially pork loin, sausage, sausage, and chicken heart, prefer something lighter like steak, chicken or fish. Bring snacks to eat throughout the day, such as nuts, fruits, cereal bars, whole-grain crackers and natural juices (avoid sodas and processed juices!).

Pizzerias: Eat 1 to 2 pieces of lighter pizzas as the cheese ones, vegetarian, Margherita, palmetto, etc. Always avoid the pizzas with too many toppings.

Sandwiches: Avoid fast foods like Mcdonald's, Burger King, KFC, etc. This type of restaurant has a very high amount of fat, choose freshly made burgers, and restaurants with more natural elements, such as Subway.

Pasta: Try to eat a salad before ordering the pasta, choose tomato sauce, prefer lighter ingredients such as chicken, broccoli, tomatoes, etc.

Japanese Food: Prefer dishes that do not contain rice like sashimi, avoid the cream cheese, give preference to the fish with fewer toppings. Always choose natural juices to accompany.

Second Topic: Drinks!

If you are at the barbecue and dying to drink that beer, or at the child's party and that soda it’s calling your name, or maybe you went out for dinner with your bae and with that marvelous dinner came that wonderful wine! Again, do not overdo it! Here are some tips:

Alcoholic beverages: Alcohol dehydrates, so for every 1 glass of alcoholic drink is indicated 5 glasses of water! Stay hydrated, avoid the hangover! What type of alcoholic drink should you ingest? Vodka, Sake or Wine are the most indicated because they have fewer cereals and don’t swell a lot.

Other drinks: Always prefer juices or filtered water, which is more suitable for consumption, the filter removes bacteria, chlorine, Trichloroethylene (TCE), Tetrachloroethene, Hydrogen Sulfide, lead and other minerals that may be bad for you. If there is no way to avoid the soda, drink the ones with no sugar and in a small quantity.

After the Party

After all, you ended up drinking and eating too much, and now is suffering from that huge hangover? Here's a step-by-step guide on how to get better, all you need to do is detoxify your body!

* As soon as you get home, drink about half a liter of water before bed, as we talked about before, the alcohol dehydrates your body and dilate the blood vessels, so if you drink a lot of water and get the alcohol off your system you’re gonna wake up great!

* On the next day try to eat food that is easily digestible, like leaves, vegetables, fruits and avoid foods of difficult digestion like red meats.

* Try to drink lots of liquid on the next day, soups, teas, green juices, coconut water and filtered water, hydro-electrolytic beverages can also be used. The more liquid you ingest, the more your kidneys will filter the blood and take away the toxins from last night. Avoid caffeine, it can dilate your vessels even more and increase your headache.

Enjoy your holidays!
