The Bachelor kind of peaked in 2009. 4. The Mentalist CBS The Mentalist premiered in 2008 and was immediately one of the top-rated shows on television. Mad Men AMC Mad Men won the Emmy for Outstanding Drama every year from 2008 to 2011, so it's safe to say everyone was pretty obsessed. 11. Survivor CBS Survivor was one of the top-rated shows for pretty much all of the 2000s, but truly one of the best seasons was Tocantins in 2009 because it gave us Benjamin Wade AKA Coach AKA The Dragon Slayer. And for everyone watching, that meant desperately wanting to go to NYU just like Blair. 13.
