Lil Nas X is the latest cover star of Time magazine.
In the interview, the "Old Town Road" rapper spoke to the publication about his reluctance to open up about his sexuality this year.
The Atlanta native said he grew up hearing that homosexuality was "never going to be OK" and that the hip hop community was "not accepting" of the LQBTQ community.
However, he overcame his fear when "the universe" pushed him to come out during Pride Month. “In June, I’m seeing Pride flags everywhere and seeing couples holding hands–little stuff like that," he said, on what inspired him to share his truth, unapologetically.
