"SNL" Just Spoofed The Democratic Presidential Candidates And It's Freakin' Glorious

    We don't deserve Maya Rudolph.

This weekend, Saturday Night Live returned and got back to business by tackling current events happening in US politics — including spoofing the Democratic candidates running for the presidency in 2020:

The iconic Larry David reprised his role as Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont:

Meanwhile, SNL veteran Maya Rudolph gave us what we'd all been hoping for when she suited up as Senator Kamala Harris of California:

Then, there was Kate McKinnon, who, as usual, brought it with her spot-on parody of Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren:

Woody Harrelson, who hosted the show, popped up as frontrunner and former Vice President Joe Biden:

Larry, as Bernie, literally lost his patience when asked about his patience, lol:

And here's Maya's hilarious spoof of how Kamala really feels about the possibility of Biden being implicated in the Ukraine scandal:

Her performance was so perfect, Kamala gave it her seal of approval:

That girl being played by @MayaRudolph on @nbcsnl? That girl was me.

Let's hope this means she'll be back! 🙏🏾

My favorite line of the sketch, however, went to Woody as Biden: "Look, I'm like plastic straws. I've been around forever, I've always worked, but now you're mad at me?"

Watch the full skit above to see who showed up to play Beto O'Rourke, Cory Booker, Marianne Williamson, and Pete Buttigieg. Trust me, it's glorious.
