"SNL" Just Spoofed The Democratic Presidential Candidates And It's Freakin' Glorious

    We don't deserve Maya Rudolph.

This weekend, Saturday Night Live returned and got back to business by tackling current events happening in US politics — including spoofing the Democratic candidates running for the presidency in 2020:

The iconic Larry David reprised his role as Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont:

    NBC

"I'm so excited to be back, and to ruin things a second time!"

Meanwhile, SNL veteran Maya Rudolph gave us what we'd all been hoping for when she suited up as Senator Kamala Harris of California:

    NBC

"I'm also America's cool aunt. A fun aunt. I call that a faunt. The kind of faunt that will give you weed and then arrest you for having weed."

Then, there was Kate McKinnon, who, as usual, brought it with her spot-on parody of Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren:

    NBC

"I have the energy of a mother of five boys who all play a different sport. Let's do this!"

Woody Harrelson, who hosted the show, popped up as frontrunner and former Vice President Joe Biden:

    NBC

"I see you, I hear you, I sniff you, and I hug you from behind."

Larry, as Bernie, literally lost his patience when asked about his patience, lol:

    NBC

"Patience? Don't talk to me about patience. It takes me 40 minutes to figure out how to turn on the TV!"

And here's Maya's hilarious spoof of how Kamala really feels about the possibility of Biden being implicated in the Ukraine scandal:

    NBC

    Petty. 🤣

Her performance was so perfect, Kamala gave it her seal of approval:

That girl being played by @MayaRudolph on @nbcsnl? That girl was me.

Let's hope this means she'll be back! 🙏🏾

My favorite line of the sketch, however, went to Woody as Biden: "Look, I'm like plastic straws. I've been around forever, I've always worked, but now you're mad at me?"

    NBC

Watch the full skit above to see who showed up to play Beto O'Rourke, Cory Booker, Marianne Williamson, and Pete Buttigieg. Trust me, it's glorious.
