You know Danny Trejo. He plays the badass in many of your favorite TV shows and films like Breaking Bad and the Spy Kids and Machete franchises.
Well, on Wednesday afternoon, the actor proved himself to be a real-life superhero when he saved a child trapped inside of an overturned car. True story.
The 75-year-old sprung into action when he spotted a special-needs kid strapped into a car seat after two vehicles collided in Los Angeles.
Thanks to the courageous acts of Danny and another bystander, the child was rescued from the wreck in time. He told ABC7 that he works with special-needs children so he was able to connect with the little boy and keep him calm while his grandmother was also freed by firefighters.
"He was panicked. I said 'OK, we have to use our superpowers.' So he screamed 'superpowers' and we started yelling 'superpowers,'" Danny told the outlet. "I said 'do this,' with the muscles. He said 'muscles.'"
"We got kind of a bond. I kept facing him away from the accident," he shared. And, yep, I'm crying.
Both the child and his grandmother were both transported to the hospital and survived the crash with "no life-threatening injuries."
Such a wholesome story. And it's thanks to Danny The Badass Trejo™. May we honor his name today!!
