Ariana Grande is not here for "selfish" people not taking the coronavirus pandemic seriously.
In a lengthy statement posted to her Twitter on Sunday, the singer begged fans to "read about what’s going on" and "don’t turn a blind eye."

For context, over 3,100 people have already died due to coronavirus, and that number is expected to rise, especially if people continue to gather in large social settings, which will help to spread the virus.
"I keep hearing, from a surprising amount of people, statements like, 'This isn't a big deal,' 'We'll be fine,' 'We still have to go about our lives,' and it's really blowing my mind," she wrote.
"It is incredibly dangerous and selfish to take this situation that lightly," she continued. "The 'we will be fine because we’re young' mindset is putting people who aren’t young and/or healthy in a lot of danger."
"You sound stupid and privileged, and you need to care more about others, like now,” Ariana added, matter-of-factly.
In a follow up tweet, the 26-year-old got straight to the point, writing, "Your hip hop yoga class can fucking wait, I promise."
