Kindergarten Teachers, Tell Us What You Want Students And Parents To Know

Tell us what you think will help them get ready for a great year of school.

Starting kindergarten can be an overwhelming time, both for kids and parents — but kindergarten teachers know that there are a lot of things that can help prepare parents and kiddos for what's ahead.

For example, they don't have to spend the summer teaching their child how to read, as long as they know a few sight words.

Also, accidents definitely happen, but it's probably a good idea to take kids on a school bathroom test run (if they can) before the school year starts to make them feel more comfortable.

Oh, and if they're worried about any separation anxiety, try progressively backing off and letting them be more independent or planning more playdates.
