    7 Easy Slime Recipes You'll Want To Try Making ASAP

    Another fact: Making your own slime is even better. Whether you have kids and want a fun activity to do with them, or if you just want a quick and easy DIY project that'll also bring you hours of joy, slime is a miracle in goo form.

    If you're looking to make some of your own, here are seven super easy and fun recipes to try out:

    1. Flubber

    Materials:

    1 cup white glue

    1/2 cup of water

    5 drops food coloring (optional)

    1/4 cup glitter (optional)

    1/2 cup liquid starch

    To make:

    1. Pour 1 cup of glue, 1/2 cup water, and 5 drops food coloring (if using) into a large bowl and stir to combine.

    2. Pour and mix in glitter (if using).

    3. Stir in 1/2 cup liquid starch until combined.

    5. Mix around with mix around with hands until slime is gooey (but not sticky), and doesn't fall apart when fingers are stuck into it.

    2. Cleaning Slime

    Materials:

    4 ounces white glue

    1/2 tablespoon baking soda

    1 tablespoon contact lens cleaning solution

    To make:

    1. Pour 4 ounces of white glue into bowl.

    2. Add baking soda and mix.

    3. Add contact lens cleaning solution and thoroughly mix.

    4. Clean as desired.

    3. Fluff Slime

    Materials:

    1 cup cornstarch

    1 cup shaving cream

    To make:

    1. Pour the cornstarch into a large bowl.

    2. Combine it with the shaving cream using a spoon.

    3. Finish mixing with hands until the slime has a soft, fluffy consistency that breaks apart when squeezed.

    4. Edible Easter Slime

    Marshmallow Peeps

    Microwave-safe bowl

    Microwave

    Spoon

    Vegetable or canola oil

    Confectioners’ sugar

    To make:

    1. Put 5 Peeps in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for 30 seconds.

    2. Using a spoon, stir in about 1 teaspoon oil until the mixture is stringy and combined.

    3. Slowly stir in confectioners’ sugar until you’ve reached your desired consistency (we used about 1/4 to 1/3 cup sugar).

    4. Transfer the slime to a work surface lightly dusted with more sugar. Cover your hands with sugar to prevent sticking. Knead gently until the slime is smooth.

    TIP: Just like with any other candy treat, don’t eat too much of this fun edible experiment!

    5. Play Dough

    Materials:

    1 cup hair conditioner

    5 drops food coloring (optional)

    1 to 2 cups of cornstarch

    To make:

    1. Pour the hair conditioner into a large bowl and stir in food coloring (if using) until color is fully mixed in.

    2. Add 1 cup cornstarch and mix with a spoon until mostly combined.

    3. If mixture is still crumbly, add in another cup of cornstarch.

    4. Mix until mostly combined, and then mash together with hands until mixture is fully combined and has a dough-like consistency.

    6. DIY Foam Slime

    Materials:

    4 ounces of white glue

    1/3 cup water

    Food coloring

    1 Styrofoam packing block

    Blender

    1/2 cup liquid starch

    To make:

    1. In a medium-size bowl, pour out 4 ounces of glue.

    2. Use a funnel and carefully pour 1/3 cup of water into your bottle of glue. Cap your bottle and shake the bottle. Pour the glue and water mixture into your bowl.

    3. Add a few drops of food coloring to your mixture and combine your ingredients. Once thoroughly mixed, set aside.

    4. In a blender, add small pieces of used styrofoam packaging. Blend until the styrofoam has broken up into smaller pieces.

    5. Add one cup of styrofoam into your glue and water solution and mix thoroughly.

    6. Add half a cup of liquid starch into the mixture. The mixture should start to become stringy.

    7. Knead until all the ingredients have combined.

    8. Stretch and bounce the slime to see how the mixture reacts.

    7. Glow-In-The-Dark Glitter Slime

    Materials:

    6 ounces glitter glue

    1/4 cup water

    2 tablespoons glow-in-the-dark paint

    Glitter

    1/2 cup liquid starch

    1/4 teaspoon baking soda

    To make:

    1. In a large bowl pour out 6 ounces of glitter glue.

    2. Fill the glue container up with 1/4 cup of water, close and shake. Pour the glue and water mixture into the bowl.

    3. Add 2 tablespoons of glow-in-the-dark paint to the mixture.

    4. Add glitter to the bowl and thoroughly mix. We used a combination of 7 glitters: holographic glitter, fairy sparkle glitter, iridescent glitter, fine cut glitter, extra fine cut glitter, sparkling glitter and crystal ice glitter.

    5. Add 1/2 a cup of liquid starch and mix until the slime starts to come together.

    6. Add 1/4 tsp baking soda to the mixture.

    7. Knead the slime with your hands to ensure all the ingredients have combined.
