My Personal Ranking Of All 6 "Good Omens" Episodes, From Best To Worst

Whilst I am longingly waiting for Good Omens Season 2.

Spoilers for Good Omens Season 1 below, obviously. :)

1. Episode 6, "The Very Last Day of the Rest Of Their Lives"

Does this even need an explanation? Such a perfect ending to a perfect show. The dining at the Ritz really topped this off for me. I loved the part where they switched bodies to stop each other from dying and I remember watching the episode for the first time and gasping. So cleverly done. The Bentley exploding was a tragedy in itself tbf. Such an episode. Everything about it was spectacular.

Favorite lines from this episode: "If you weren't at heart, just a little bit, a good person," and "To the world."

2. Episode 3, "Hard Times"

Episode 3 was close to becoming first and is one of my favorite episodes, mainly because the first half an hour is just Crowley and Aziraphale. I love the fact we get to see their friendship (and slow burn love story, haha) over the years because in the prior two episodes we had next-to-no background on the two of them. Their blossoming friendship (romance) is so beautiful to watch. The ending ("there is no our side Crowley, its over," sound familiar?) makes me cry without fail every single time.

Favorite line of this episode: "Little demonic miracle of my own."

3. Episode 1, "In The Beginning"

I was stuck between Episode 1 and 2 for third place. This is a great episode, establishing how our Ineffable Husbands met. Really sets the story well about the baby swap and how everything went wrong. And lots of lines used in this episode from the original book.

Favorite line from this episode : "Nononono please don't do your magic trick, please, you have no idea how demeaning that is."

4. Episode 2, "The Book"

I adore this episode and didn't want to put it this low on my list. Admittedly, this is my comfort episode. I love the vibe of this episode, and Crowley screaming at his houseplants really tops it off. The introduction to both Newt and Anathema was also great. Highly enjoyable episode.

Favorite line of the episode: "Gentlemen? Sorry to break up an intimate moment...Satan and demons preserves its Master Crowley!"

5. Episode 5, "The Doomsday Option"

This episode makes me sad because obviously Crowley thinks Aziraphale is dead. It wasn't a great episode, anyway. Not much more to say than that, its an okay episode!

Favorite lines: "Did you go to Alpha Centauri?" and "No, stuff happened, I lost my best friend."

6. And finally, Episode 4, "Saturday Morning Funtime"

Does this need any explaining? I hate saying it but it was a pretty trash episode. *THAT* scene with Newt and Anathema was the most cringe thing ever and it just kept going on and on and on and didn't seem to end. I have only watched this episode a couple of times and whenever I am doing a re-watch I tend to skip it. One good thing to come out of this episode though is the Hastur and the Holy Water. Metatron was a little odd and that whole Newt-seeing-the-weird-alien-duck thing was...different? I need to re-watch this ASAP, I guess, oops.

Favorite line from this episode : "Great plan? God, you listening? Show me a great plan!"
