That Wasn't Actually Tony Hawk On The Los Angeles Police Commission Zoom Call

Thankfully, Tony Hawk fully stands in support, though.

On Tuesday, the Los Angeles Police Commission held a live Zoom meeting where LA residents were allowed to call in and voice their concerns over the LAPD's handling of recent protests.

This Zoom meeting included LAPD Chief of Police Michael Moore, who many called to be fired after he said George Floyd's "death is on [protesters' and looters'] hands, as much as it is on those officers'."

People did not hold back sharing their thoughts, to say the least.

LMAO MY MAN REALLY SAID "GO FUCK YOURSELVES, I'LL SEE YOU ALL IN HELL" AT THE OFFICIAL LA POLICE COMMISSION MEETING

YOU HAVE THE MOST RACIST EYEBROWS I HAVE EVER AEEN

WHOEVER THE FUCK THIS IS, YOU DROPPED THIS KING 👑

But one caller in particular took viewers by surprise: "Tony Hawk."

"You've lost control over your police force and your authority is illegitimate," said "Tony" to Michael Moore. "Commissioners, if your concern is at all with the people of Los Angeles, if this man does not resign you must remove him. The situation will continue to get worse until he is gone. History will judge you by the decision you make today."

Sorry about the shitty video but tony hawk just called in

Michael Moore apologized the day of the Zoom chat on Twitter, saying he "misspoke."

    It quickly went viral.

If Tony Hawk ever dissed me this hard I’d fucking kill myself https://t.co/uNAD7OllfF

Tony hawk just got on the LA police commissions’ live meeting to say they need to remove chief moore. This meme still stands

seen tony hawk trending got scared he died.. But he just told da LA chief of police he trash n need to get fired. nun but respect for da goat

Sadly, it wasn't actually Tony Hawk. The real Tony dispelled the false information on Twitter.

@ginamei Wasn’t me... I would have spoken more clearly and asked people to support @ColorOfChange before yielding my time.

The good news is Tony Hawk echoed the caller's sentiments in his reply. He's also been donating proceeds from his Cameo videos to Color of Change and the George Floyd Memorial Fund. So we can all continue to stan the pro skater.
