    Double Double Breakfast Smoothie

    INGREDIENTS


    1 ½ cups cold brew

    2 cups water

    3-5 dates, pit removed

    ⅓ cup rolled oats

    ½ cup milk (2%, oat, almond)


    PREPARATION

    1. Pour 1 ½ cups of cold brew into a standard ice tray and place in the freezer. Allow 4 hours to freeze into cubes but you can do this the night before!

    2. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil and pour it over 3-5 dates (depending on how sweet you want it) in a small heat proof bowl.  Set them aside for 10 minutes to rehydrate.

    3. Drain the water from the bowl and add the 3-5 rehydrated medjool dates to the blender.

    4. Add half of the cold brew ice cubes, 1/3 cup rolled oats, and ½ cup milk to your blender. 

    5. Blend on high until smooth – if there are chunks of ice you can pulse to break them up.

    6. Enjoy!
