At least six others were wounded in the Israeli strikes which came hours after a Palestinian sniper reportedly killed an Israeli civilian who was repairing the border security fence which separates Gaza from Israel.
The Israeli civilian was the first Israeli killed on the Gaza frontier in more than a year, Reuters reported.
The Israeli military said in a statement that the sites targeted included "a weapon manufacturing facility" and "terror infrastructure in the central Gaza strip" among others. Hamas condemned the girl's death as "a criminal and cowardly act."
