14 Black Women That Would Be Amazing Hosts On "SNL"
"Live from New York, it's Saturday night!"
Saturday Night Live has been around for almost 45 years, and we've seen all ethnicities, ages, and entertainment occupations appear on the show, but we have yet to see these iconic queens host the show!
Tracee Ellis Ross

Tracee is a no brainer and should be at the top of everyone's list when thinking of who should host. Tracee has perfect comedic timing, which we've seen time and time again on Girlfriends and on Black-ish. Her personality is playful and fun, which is evident through her Instagram.
Keke Palmer

The "gag is" Keke is everything and more! She's been in numerous movies, she's host several shows, and she continues to blossom. She deserves!
Raven-Symoné

Raven is extremely talented and would be an amazing host. Also That’s So Raven is a classic. Need I say more?
Issa Rae

Isn’t this self-explanatory? I don’t need to explain this, just book her. Could you imagine her rapping her monologue into a mirror? Classic and epic at the same time.
Gabrielle Union

Even though we typically only see Gabrielle in more serious acting roles, her personality on her Instagram and behind-the-scenes clips show us that she would be a perfect host on Saturday Night Live.
Regina Hall

Scary Movie should be enough to sell you on this, but let’s not forget Girls Trip, and her hosting the BET Awards in 2019 was a success!
Uzo Aduba

Uzo was amazing in Orange is the New Black, but she’s far from being a one-trick pony, so get her on the stage and let’s see how else she can make us laugh!
Amber Riley

Amber shined on Glee as Mercedes Jones, she's very funny, and she did great in her skit on A Black Lady Sketch Comedy. Amber is a true star.
Tia Mowry

Tia’s personality and comedic timing would make her perfect to host! Just think of the roles we have seen her in since Sister Sister, and you’ll realize she would be iconic to host.
Yara Shahidi

Just like Tracee, Black-ish and Grown-ish has allowed Yara to experiment with playing different characters, so why not? I’m sure she’ll give us a profound and prolific monologue too.
Yvonne Orji

Her presence on Insecure is lively! She's hilarious and her personality is everything on her podcast, so she would be amazing on the show.
Kelly Rowland

It's Kelly Rowland. She's talented and has a great sense of humor! What more could you ask for?
Gabrielle Dennis

We’ve seen Gabrielle Dennis transform into a number of roles over the years, so her transforming every ten minutes on SNL is definitely in her wheelhouse.
Viola Davis

Viola Davis is a legend, give her all the flowers, and all the praise! Period.
