The song is a remake of an already-released Zedd song from 2015.

Kesha joined Zedd on stage at Coachella earlier this month, performing the track.

Zedd clarified earlier this week that the song was recorded with the permission of Kemosabe and Sony.

Just to clarify: We didn't use any loop holes. Kemosabe / RCA gave us permission to release this song!

Kesha's legal battle with former producer Dr. Luke is still ongoing, with Dr. Luke suing Kesha for breach of contract and defamation.

As BuzzFeed previously reported, Kesha also has a pending lawsuit against the producer for claims of sexual assault, battery, harassment, gender violence, unfair business practices, and infliction of emotional distress. Both lawsuits have hearings scheduled for next month.
