There are code names for regular check-ins.
And we definitely know if you're at the hotel to get up to no good.
If it's taking a while for your check-in to be processed, it's probably because the system just went to shit.
And the ruder the guest, the less likely they'll get upgraded.
To be completely honest, front desk will probably go out of their way to put you in a shittier room, if you're a shitty person.
As a worker, you soon realise not to be surprised at how rude and demanding people can be.

Depending where you're staying, upgrading to the breakfast package is probably not worth it.

And if you're after a sheet change or anything else late at night, the cleaners aren't in, so it'll be the concierge again helping you out.
While the sheets and towels are changed regularly, the actual duvet or other blankets are rarely washed.
And be a little wary of the glasses on the sink.
Always check the use-by date on snack items in the mini-bar.
And definitely make sure the seals aren't broken on the liquor bottles.
Sometimes famous people do come to stay.
But it's rare that even the staff will be likely to meet them.
And if you thought guests were the only ones to load up on free hotel necessities, you'd be wrong.
