The world's eight richest men are worth $426 billion. The world's poorest 3.7 billion people together own $409 billion – $17 billion less.
New research by the charity Oxfam shows the world has grown $67 trillion richer in just 15 years – but that wealth is becoming increasingly concentrated.
"The top 1% of the world’s population holds 50% of the world’s wealth, while the bottom 50% of the world’s population holds 1% of the wealth."
White families studied in a new report are now almost ten times wealthier than black families.
