The DEA confiscated nearly 155 pounds of heroin just blocks away from an elite private school. The drugs allegedly belonged to Mexico's fearsome Sinaloa Cartel.
Hector Beltran-Leyva was wanted in both Mexico and the U.S. for trafficking drugs and weapons. DNA testing was conducted to confirm the capture.
“Any time individuals in military uniforms cross a border that's obviously cause for concern. This incident deserves a close look,” Sen. Tom Coburn said.
