Jesse Benton, head of Rand Paul's political action committee and staffer on Ron Paul's 2012 presidential campaign, has been charged, along with John Tate and Dimitrios Kesari, for allegedly making concealed payments to an Iowa State Senator in exchange for his political support.

The Time Jesse Benton Claimed Everything Was "Above Board" In Iowa
Benton, who chaired Ron Paul's presidential campaign, has been accused of helping arrange payments to Iowa state Sen. Kent Sorenson in exchange for his support of Paul. "We are working very closely with the Iowa Republican Party to make sure everything is above board and we have a lot of confidence in that," he said on C-SPAN the night of the 2012 Iowa caucus.
