1. Kuratas


Boys shall have their toys. If you have 1.4 million bucks to spare, you can have your very own Kuratas, a four ton robot is armed with a "futuristic weapons system" that shoots plastic rockets filled with compressed water. No bachelor pad would be complete without one.

2. Dumpling bot

A robot that specializes in preparing Chinese dumplings. It can work continuously for five hours after a two hour charge. How's that for work ethic?

3. Steel Cyclone

5. Kabutom RX-03


A 17 ton beetle robot named Kabutom RX-03 is displayed at the Tsukuba Festival at Tsukuba city, Japan. Just what we needed, giant bugs...

6. Wall-Ye V.I.N. robot


Your next cup of wine might be picked by a robot. The Wall-Ye V.I.N. robot is one of the robots being designed to help ease the labor shortage in vineyards. Oompa Loompas were originally considered to combat the labor shortage, but robots proved more efficient in field studies because they lacked the propensity to break out into dance.

7. Robonaut 2

Robonaut 2 is the first humanoid robot to be used in space and is currently being tested on the International Space Station. To infinity and beyond!

8. Tawabo


A guide robot named Tawabo is able to provide information in English, Chinese, Korean or Japanese at the Tokyo Tower. Future firmware upgrades shall support Klingon and Sindarin.

9. Waiter Bot

A robot that specializes in delivering food holds an empty plate after serving meals to customers at a Robot Restaurant in Harbin, China. Maybe now we'll finally get our soda refilled in a timely manner.

11. Soccer bots

Robots play soccer in the 11th RoboCup German Open in Magdeburg, Germany. In an attempt to recreate the real sport as accurately as possible, robots spend the majority of their processing power computing complex algorithms for flopping.

12. Gundam


Visitors take pictures of a full-size model of a "Gundam," an anime robot, as it stands in front of a shopping mall in Tokyo. Only in Japan...
