Basically, after founder and designer Julie Baker's daughter kept bringing their backyard chickens inside the house, Baker was inspired to create her own line of fashion-forward diapers for her feathered friends...thus birthing Pampered Poultry.
"We're always adding new items and coming up with new ways to fashionably interact with your chickens," Baker told BuzzFeed. "This year we introduced the tutus."
Next year, Baker plans on expanding Pampered Poultry's holiday offerings, including a line of Halloween costumes and a line designed just for the roosters. (Think interchangeable bowties!!!!!)
Even better, each individual chicken outfit is handmade by a group of women in the Dominican Republic who are affiliated with the sewing cooperative, Sewing My Future!
Baker continued, "Although people first think it's crazy that we dress chickens, the growth of the company over the last eight years has shown us that we aren’t the only ones who think that chickens can make amazing pets!"
