This is my tattoo in memorium of my dog Annie. I got Annie when I was 11 and we had to put her down when she was 11. During the time she was alive we went through a lot as a family but she was always there wagging her tail and smiling. When my dad died in 2013 she mourned with us. She was an amazing dog.
When we found out she had cancer I got one of those baby footprint kits and did a print of her paw. I got the tattoo about a week after we put her down.
I have a tattoo for my dad on my left ankle, and Annie, while she was supposed to be my dog, was truly my dad’s dog. So fittingly I got the tattoo on the same side that my dad’s was. And when I’m sad or missing her a lot…I just imagine how excited she was to see my dad after him being gone. She loved us unconditionally, there aren’t many if any humans who will love the way a dog does.
Those aren’t 90s toys…at least the pet shop isn’t for sure
