Subway To curb our excitement and curiosity, we decided to personally taste test each of the three sandwiches and report back with our thoughts. BuzzFeed First up, the Classic Chicken Parmi. Subway Nat: As someone who always opts for a six-inch Classic Chicken sambo at Subway, I knew I was coming into something good. The melted mozzerella and marinara sauce definitely added a little something extra to my usual order and I was into it.Clare: I'm a fan of this one — as soon as you taste the marinara sauce, all these memories of sitting in a pub, ordering a parmi with your friends, came rushing out. I would definitely eat this again. 2. The Chicken & Ham Parmi Subway Nat: Okay, this right here is the iconic, pub-style parmi in sandwich form. The extra ham really elevates the sandwich and gives it that distinctive parmi flavour. It's so good!Clare: As soon as I bit into this, I got the flavour I had been missing in the first one — ham! Definitely worked better with the chicken and the melting cheese fusing them together — absolute sandwich bliss. Finally, the Chicken & Pepperoni Parmi. Subway Nat: This one was the most unusual of all the sandwiches as I've actually never had a parmi with pepperoni before. I'm not a huge fan of pepperoni in general — because I find it has quite a strong flavour — but its spiciness actually brought a different element into the mix. I was pleasantly surprised!Clare: This Chicken & Pepperoni sambo had a more ~subtle~ flavour. Like you bite into it and you're thinking, "oh yeah it''s nice, it's unusual — but what's different?" The pepperoni balances all of the sandwich flavours well, but it's not as overpowering as the ham. BuzzFeed Nat: This range was actually really good! I would go for the Classic Chicken Parmi or the Chicken & Ham Parmi again. If you're a lover of spicy foods, the Chicken & Pepperoni will probably be more your vibe. Also, pro tip: Put a note in your Uber Eats order to ask the Subway sandwich artist to grill the cheese until it looks like molten lava — aka the way it would be served in an actual pub.Clare: My favourite was definitely the Chicken & Ham Parmi sandwich because it tastes just like the one I get at my corner pub, when I'm surrounded with my friends and gearing up for a great night. In a time of COVID-19, this does come close! Get your hands on Subway's new parmigiana-inspired sandwich range, which you can get delivered to your home via Uber Eats.
