Rebel Wilson Was Kidnapped At Gunpoint And Held Captive Overnight, And Her Story Is Terrifying

"I was petrified...that they might want to take one of the girls or something.'"

Rebel Wilson was a guest on the UK series Straight Talking yesterday — and in her conversation with host Ant Middleton, she revealed that she was kidnapped at gunpoint and held captive overnight while traveling in Mozambique.

"We were on this cattle truck and these men came on another truck with a lot of guns," she said, as reported by the Daily Mail. "[They pulled up beside us] with the big guns and they were like, 'Yeah, you've got to get off your truck.'"

Rebel says the kidnappers took her and her friends, with guns pointed at them, to a house "in the middle of nowhere." She recalls having no idea what they planned to do with her.

"I felt like I was very good in the crisis. I was like a team leader," she told Ant. She went on to describe the plan she devised to keep her group safe.

"They sat us down, and I said, 'Everybody link arms,' because I was petrified in the night that they might want to take one of the girls or something.'"

Rebel says they were kept in the strange house overnight, but in the morning, their abductors let them go. In retrospect, Rebel now believes that the men probably didn't actually want her. She thinks they wanted access to her truck, and possibly filled it with contraband while her group was being held hostage.

"I think maybe those guys, maybe, used us to smuggle illegal things in the bottom of the truck," she said.

Fortunately, Rebel and her friends made it out of the situation unscathed. They now have a terrifying story to tell.
