So Apparently Nobody In The Royal Family Wants To Be King Or Queen???

But seriously, why does nobody want that gig?!

This is Prince Harry. He's a grandson of Queen Elizabeth, a son of Princess Diana and Prince Charles, fifth in line to the royal throne, and also, if all goes according to plan, my future husband.

Harry just gave a lengthy interview to Newsweek, and in it he made a pretty surprising reveal: Apparently nobody in the royal family actually wants to be king or queen.

YUP. According to Harry, the royal fam really wants to make sure the monarchy is a "force for good," but nobody's hoping to inherit grandma's crown:

“We are involved in modernizing the British monarchy. We are not doing this for ourselves but for the greater good of the people... Is there any one of the royal family who wants to be king or queen? I don’t think so, but we will carry out our duties at the right time.”

The good news for Harry is, because he's FIFTH in line for the throne, that beautiful ginger man is never gonna be king. I mean, these two little kids are in line before him:

And while Harry doesn't really elaborate on ~why~ nobody wants to take over the family business, you have to imagine it's a high-pressure gig. Still, you do get to live in a pretty sweet house, so...

Listen, Harry. I'm not remotely British, but I do have impeccable table manners and a real fondness for crumpets and formalwear. So like, if none of y'all want to do it, I will happily step up and be the King of England. Add me on Facebook and we'll sort out the deets!!!
