World, meet Alex and Jess Monney — a married couple from the Bay Area who just stumbled upon something rather ~surprising~ while renovating their bathroom.
Their contractor was gutting the old bathroom, when he found this note hidden inside the walls:
"If you're reading this, that means you're remodeling the bathroom again," the note reads. "What's wrong with the way we did it?!?!?"
The home's former owners also included a brief message from their pet bunny for good measure.
Alex uploaded a picture of their note to Twitter, where it amassed over 80,000 likes in just 24 hours. People are officially obsessed with the Shinseki family and their 1995 shenanigans.
"We thought it was hilarious!" Alex told BuzzFeed. "Totally unexpected so it gave us a good laugh throughout the day."
Some internet sleuths have even tried tracking down the Shinsekis to let them know their note has been discovered. Alex told BuzzFeed that he's never met the family, but this is what he'd like them to know:
Your bathroom, and home, is lovely. It has given us a lot of beautiful memories and we can't wait to raise our little baby girl here. Sorry we're changing the bathroom, but the shower is too small for me to fit in (I'm 6' and my wife is 5'). Thank you for the amazing surprise!
