Amy Schumer Just Opened Up About Her IVF Struggles And Asked Her Fans For Help

"I’m a week into IVF and feeling really run down and emotional."

Amy Schumer just shared a candid post on her Instagram, in which she got real about her recent struggles with IVF and asked any fans who have been through it to share their advice.

In case you didn't know, IVF stands for in vitro fertilization, and it's a medical process to help people conceive a child. It can be a miracle for those dealing with fertility issues, but it can also be difficult — both physically and emotionally.

"I’m a week into IVF and feeling really run down and emotional," Schumer wrote on Instagram, alongside a picture of her bruised stomach.

"If anyone went through it and if you have any advice or wouldn’t mind sharing your experience with me please do," she wrote, adding: "My number is in my bio."

Amy and her husband Chris Fischer welcomed their first child, Gene, back in May of last year. And, as Amy explains it, their eventual goal is to have a second child:

We are freezing my eggs and figuring out what to do to give Gene a sibling. ❤️

Since posting on Instagram earlier today, she's been flooded with comments of love and support, including some messages from her famous friends. Selena Gomez offered her prayers:

Tess Holliday commended her ability to be so vulnerable:

And Katie Couric offered some words of encouragement:

So, if you've been through the process of IVF before and have any wisdom to share, consider giving Amy a call! The number she'd like people to use is currently in her Instagram bio.

Amy, props for being so open about your experience, and we hope you get the advice you need soon ❤️.
