Response to 12 Horrible Mistakes People Have Made At Work:
I worked as an interior designer for a furniture store where we offered custom furniture. A lady picked out a slipcover sofa, with two flowered throw pillows. Whenever you ordered this through the system, it was a just a series of long numbers, no color names. When I went to enter her sofa, I switched the throw pillow numbers and the main fabric numbers. Of course ,I didn’t discover my mistake until…8 weeks later. Not only was it a costly mistake ( the throw pillow fabric was some of the most expensive they offered) but it was HIDEOUS. It was a bold flowered print, with two khaki colored pillows. When it was delivered to her home, they lady had a nervous breakdown! Luckily, the owner laughed it off as a lesson learned. However, I was responsible for reselling the “Grandma couch”.
It’s really funny how prices at JCP haven’t really changed since 1990. You would think that due to inflation this catalog would look cheap, but it honestly looks like the prices at I see advertised.
Response to 38 Signs You’re From North Carolina:
I’m a born and raised NC girl. Though, I don’t like a lot of southern food. It’s too greasy and I don’t eat meat. That gets me a lot of strange looks whenever I go home to visit family that live in the rural part of NC. I am however a huge Ben Folds fan, I see him (and sometimes Ben Folds Five) whenever they’re in town. I also like the Avett Brothers, they’re from NC too. I’ve survived a many’a hurricanes, in fact we’d sit out on my grandmother’s front porch and watch them until the wind picked up too bad. I’m now in the Raleigh area which has been infiltrated with yankees! LOL :::shakes fist:::

Response to 20 Status Symbols Gen Y Girls Grew Up With:
I always wanted Samantha as a little girl, but I never asked my parents because I knew they couldn’t afford it. I found one a year ago and bought her, then promptly gave her to my daughter, Charlotte. I like to think that I saved her from the box. :)
