Massachusetts State Police officials are praising Wilfork for helping save a woman involved in a crash in Foxboro after the Patriots’ victory over the Indianapolis Colts.

According to a police news release, officers responded to the scene of a rollover crash involving a 2015 Jeep Wrangler early Monday, and were surprised to find the football star was already at the scene.

The driver of the Jeep, 38-year-old Mary Ellen Brooks, was trapped inside, according to police.

A trooper was able to hold the door of the Jeep open, and Wilfork reached in and pulled the woman out with one hand.

Brooks was arrested at the scene and charged with driving under the influence and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

The police said Wilfork left after making sure he could not offer any more help.
