Your graduation ceremony has ended and now you and your family are looking for something fun to do to while away the afternoon and to celebrate the end of your university journey. So, we thought we’d do the legwork for you and compile a list of the best bits so you can enjoy the rest of your day stress-free!

1. Trentham Shopping Village and Gardens

Meander through the beautiful gardens, take a stroll around the large central lake and wander round the Garden Centre and Shopping Village. Here you will find lots of quaint and quirky shops and cafes to explore. With plenty to see and do here you’ll be able to keep the whole family entertained until it’s time to go home.

2. Places to eat onsite

Just a short walk from the ceremony tent, you’ll find Joe’s Kitchen and Frankie and Benny’s near the entrance of the Trentham Estate. From burgers to steak, you’ll be sure to find something to please all of the family. If you’re in the mood to celebrate (and I’m sure you will be) why not treat yourself to one of the many delicious cocktails on the menu to truly celebrate in style.

3. Places to eat further afield

By venturing out of the venue, you’ll find The Orange Tree Bar and Grill located on the A34. In the opposite direction towards Stone, you’ll find their sister venue – The Wayfarer. These stylish hotspots filled with attentive staff, delicious food and tasty tipples are well worth a visit and won’t disappoint.

4. Afternoon Tea

Why not make the most of being in the potteries and enjoy a delicious afternoon tea at Emma Bridgwater or Middleport Pottery! Keep your mum happy with this civilised option and indulge in a well-deserved feast of treats to mark the end of your student life.

5. The Theatre

The Regent Theatre is host to a wide variety of well-known and respected plays and performances. So why not take a look at what’s on and head over after your ceremony for an afternoon at the theatre.
