    2. Leads are expensive. Most marketers actually spend at least $50 per lead. A cost-effective way to generate leads is to promote a sale or special discount program.

    3. Most marketers will tell you that email is the most effective lead generation tactic. They feel that this marketing tactic is more effective than paid search, social marketing and display advertising combined.

    4. Unfortunately, inbound leads are becoming less effective today as more and more people have the tendency to leave the wrong information whenever they're filling out online forms.

    5. While getting more leads is great, ultimately the most important thing for marketers is to have leads that will give them the best ROI. Following in order of importance are the number of leads, the CTR or open rate and qualitative measures.
