Sonam Kapoor will be seen playing the role of late PanAm flight attendant Neerja Bhanot in the eponymous biopic Neerja directed by Ram Madhvani.

Neerja Bhanot was an Indian flight attendant who saved the lives of passengers aboard the hijacked PanAm flight 73 in Karachi in 1986, by sacrificing her own. She was 23 years old.

Earlier today, Sonam shared this heartwarming ode to the spirit of Neerja on her Instagram.
