I remember when they were 10p each= simpler, happier times!

Once again, in a bid to stay relevant, The Simpsons are associating themselves with big talking points in the news. When will they do the right thing, for the benefit of the show’s legacy, and quit already. As for Scottish Independence, as an Englishman I don’t know enough about the politics involved to decide what’s right and what’s wrong (not that I have a vote anyway). However, I think the result will effect me more than it would the idiots who still write for an animated show that has long past its “best before date”. (As a Scot living in the USA Willie isn’t even eligible to vote)

My problem with this is that people still believe The Simpsons are both funny and relevant when the painful truth is there not. Agreed, when it first came out it set the benchmark that all following sitcoms measured themselves against. Heck, I loved the older episodes. But now it’s just a stupid cartoon for kids who have no real understanding of what comedy is.
