Community·Posted on May 29, 2020What's The Greatest Movie Scene Ever?Everyone has a favorite, but which is the best?by Spencer AlthouseBuzzFeed StaffFacebookPinterestTwitterMailLink If you're a movie lover like me, then you definitely have a few favorite scenes throughout the history of cinema that really speak to you. United Artists For me, that's basically anything from The Apartment, but I'll gladly open this up to other movies, too! Maybe that scene revolves around a pivotal moment in a film that absolutely makes your jaw drop, like the "I see dead people" moment in The Sixth Sense. Buena Vista Pictures So simple, yet so goosebump-inducing. Perhaps you think the scene is so great because of the performances, like Viola Davis' only scene in Doubt, which was eight minutes long and earned her an Oscar nomination. Miramax A great movie scene moves you, and that's exactly what this one does. Plus, you can't get better than Viola Davis and Meryl Streep sparring back and forth. Or maybe it's a scene that's extremely subtle yet so powerful, even though there's no dialogue in it, like the opening sequence in Up. Disney *cue the tears* Movie lovers, unite! Use the comments below to tell us what you think is the absolute BEST (and ~why~ it's the best!) scene in cinematic history. Columbia Pictures We're talkin' any movie from any year, people! And we're not just looking for two-word responses. Tell us why you think that particular scene is the best! The best responses will be featured in a BuzzFeed Community post or video! CJ Entertainment I'll go first! In my opinion, one of the best scenes ever is the peach fuzz montage from last year's Parasite. It's so simple and clean, but there's also so much rhythm to the scene. Each shot is perfectly orchestrated to make the reader feel every single type of emotion: one second you're laughing, the next you're confused, then you're on the edge of your seat, and then your jaw is dropped. It's perfection.
