The Chapess (as I have blogged about before in the 5 feminist zines you need to know about) are a Manchester (UK) based zine that operate worldwide via the wonders of the internet, have their issue #8 launching in Manchester and you must go. The launch is a part of Manchester's Popfest weekender which is a DIY pop festival featuring 20 bands from the UK and beyond. They also have screenings and zines galore so too much for you to see.

Issue 8 contributors include: Emma Kohlmann, Louise McQuillan, SJ Bradley, Julia Wohlstetter, Tracy Struck, SBTL CLNG, Heather Dunlop, Saffa Khan, Sofia Yuriko Baca, Angharad Williams, Emma Woll-Wenzel, Claire Askew, Morgan Sturgeon, Elizabeth Hall, Stacey-Marie Piotrowski, Sade Andria Zabala, Frances Cannon, Lily Myers, Martha PW, Julia Feige. And is available to pre order online here.

The Chapess say "Popfest continues on Sunday 16th August at Islington Mill with loads more great bands - look out for top zine babe Ingrid Boring on the decks too!"

So go check that out and let me know what you think. Hit up The Chapess on Tumblr elsewhere for a constant roll of inspiration and information.
