This Guy Crowdsourced Illustrations From Around The World To Break Stereotypes About The Hijab

    After meeting a Syrian girl who got called a terrorist for wearing a hijab, Mumbai's Deepak Ramola decided to help demolish the stereotype.

    This is Mumbai-based educator, Deepak Ramola.

    Moved by her story, he uploaded this image as the first in the series with the caption, "#UnderTheHijab is an incredible identity". This series invites artists to make illustrations to help break stereotypes surrounding the hijab.

    Soon enough, more illustrations poured in from all over the world with captions prefaced with “#UnderTheHijab is…". Here are some of them:
