Biswa Kalyan Rath Spoke Up About Depression, Failure And Loving Your Life

"Don't end your life. At least give it 30 more years. Dekho, kya hota hai. Maje lo duniya ke."

On April 4, Mumbai-based engineering student Arjun Bhardwaj committed suicide by jumping off the 19th floor of the Taj Land's End Hotel in Mumbai.

Many, including celebrities, have reacted to the student's death by highlighting the need to speak up about mental health.

In the aftermath, comedian Biswa Kalyan Rath chose to speak up about his own struggle with depression and how he came out of it.

He went on to explain how failure in any aspect of life is not a measure of how well you're doing in life on the whole.

He explained that suicide is not the solution to any problem and whatever we're going through will pass.

He also stressed on the need to seek help if one feels depressed and to reach out to people who are showing signs of depression.

Other comedians such as Danish Sait and Rahul Subramanian have also posted messages about the incident.
