Pick a picture of water that catches your eye

Put on your shoes and step outside the house. Plug in your headphones and just walk around the block to take in some much-needed oxygen. Allow yourself to loosen up and soak in the sights around you to calm yourself.

Take a walk.

Sit down and make a list of five things that you are grateful for. It could be a person, your job, your car, or even potatoes. It doesn't matter. Just five things that reminded you that life is still worth the while.

Make a gratitude list.

Pet therapy is the easiest way to put stress aside. You can cuddle with a pup, pet a cat, hold someone's guinea pig and just boop them forever. If you don't have a pet, borrow a friend's or visit a shelter.

Chill with some pets.

When life gets busy, it's often easy to take our loved ones for granted. Sometime this week, just pick up your phone and make a call to someone you care about. It could be your parents, your BFFs, your partners, or just someone you haven't spoken to in a while. A short conversation might just make your day.

Make a phone call to someone you love.

Baking requires a certain level of concentration that is extremely therapeutic. Pick a simple recipe, or even one of those easy-to-bake cake mixes and allow yourself to have your cake and eat it too.

Bake yourself a treat.

What's better than soaking yourself in some much-needed nostalgia? Pick a season of your favourite show and binge the heck out of it. Remind yourself why you love that show and be glad you have it in your life.
